I recently bought a 1973 CT-90 that wasn't running. Got the carb clean, and valves, points, timing all adjusted plus a new battery. Ran great! Took it on a trip and put about a 100 miles on dirt and it ran good. Had some trouble idling and starting especially cold, but otherwise ok. At the very end of the trip the bike started missing and losing power when accelerating. Figured out it was happening with the turn signals on. Checked voltage and battery was not charging. Replaced the stator and rectifier and problem still persists. Battery is charging, and reading up to 8 volts while revving in neutral even with high beam on. But when turn signals are on voltage doesn't get above 6.2-6.3 and drops down in the 4-5 range when the signal blinks. Happens with both L and R signals. Not sure where to begin, but hoping for some advice and/or possibly someone who has encountered the same problem. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
