I have a 1982 Honda Ct110 (6 volt bike) that starting burning out bulbs including the headlight. Nothing worked but the horn. I bought this Honda with 226 miles and worked fine at first. Then by the time it reached 800 or 900 miles bulbs started blowing out. I took it to a well known cycle mechanic in the neighborhood for the winter. He had it two months, changed the battery and signal flasher and found out the rectifier was putting out 12 to 15 volt so he took it to a local Honda dealer shop. The Honda shop searched the wiring harness, found nothing wrong, and then bought a new after markert rectifier and installed all new bulbs. Tested rectifier and it was putting out about 8 volts. They called me up to pick up the "fixed" Honda. I drove it home and after three rides all the bulbs burned out again, but the horn still works. Next I ordered LED bulbs, which handle voltage fluctuation better, to replace the turn signal & tail lights. Installed them and they worked great "at idle". Being happy, I put on my helmet and took it for a ride. One mile later, I was back at home with all my $50 LED bulbs burned out. Can someone help PLEASE!, before I roll this bike out on the driveway and set it on fire. Current milage is exactly 1226.
