Hi folks! First time posting here. I'm Mark (Thunzie is my forum handle) from Tamworth NSW Australia. I've read a heap of other threads from people with similar issues and re-checked everything but still cannot seem to get my CT90 K4 to start. History of the bike, unknown. I picked it up a few weeks ago and I have NO idea when it last ran. But the engine turns over ok, I have a nice blue spark at the (new) plug, I've got a tank full of regular 95 octane fuel with some valve saver added (thought this might be the way to go being a 1972 model bike), and I'm trying to start it but it shows not a hint of wanting to fire. Tonight I removed the carb (brand new aftermarket thing that's recommended to work with this model) to see if there's any hint of fuel in the manifold, and there isn't. I had the same sympton with the original carb, even after cleaning it out thouroughly. That's why I got a new one, but still the same. I have double checked timing, valve clearances, and have ensured that the timing advancer isn't 180º out. What am I missing?
