Hmm - I don't know if BC voids registration without insurance (sounds like a cash grab?)

BC has Collector plates available for vehicles 25 years & older (pre-'86). Restrictions include pleasure use only (no work or school) and you need to have a primary licensed vehicle. For my 1964 CT200, 12 months insurance cost me $97 (I paid an additional $9 to increase my 3rd party liability to $5M.) Because I'm regularly ripping around town on it, I consider that to be a real bargain!

My primary licensed vehicle is a 1989 CB-1 which costs me $373 for the year (including optional $5M 3rd party liability + Uninsured Motorist Protection + my 35% Safe Drivers Discount). Still a great bargain IMHO.  My primary vehicle is a mountain bike which costs me $0. The greatest bargain of them all!!

I've been told there's a way to "share" a Collector plate among multiple old vehicles, which sounds great! I haven't looked into it yet, but will once I find another old bike to adopt...

PS Wow! What bikes does Todd have??
