I was the big hit this past Saturday..old grey hair guy on a lil red honda...trails still had more than enough mud spots and boggs to make it challenging, and they are behind on their grooming from all the flooding this past year so the ATVs have dug huge ruts..many were bottoming out and spinning even deeper...
good test of balance trying to ride on the center ridge sometimes

After about an hour and a half of pretty aggressive riding on the blue trails, with the CT covered in mud, I could tell I was due for a break and the bike was as well...couple last hard climbs told me the clutch had about all it was going to do without really burning it up..so I headed back to base.
I won't use the language involved, but after coming up out of a particularly nasty trail behind some hefty 4 wheelers, they were all grins, thumbs up and one guy was shouting that I was the "f-ing man!"  they couldn't believe I took on that trail with my little honda.. I just laughed and told them I was only on it cause I had gotten lost...we all had a good chuckle

I have to say I was completely impressed with how the CT90 performed..many mud spots that I expected to be slipping... it held track, several climbs that were steep and included having to wrestle with knee deep wheel ruts from the big ATVs, axle deep mud water, and a few side trips through the trees cause there were impassible areas of the trail that had some stuck ATVs in it...
Bottom line.. I never took a spill, kept up with the 2 wheelers and ATVs out there and had one of the more noticed rides out there.

I've never had to do clutch work on my bike..it may be due..about 10k miles on it..original 79... i had just cleaned the carb, lubed the throttle cable which had been a tad sticky, changed the oil and it got fresh tread last Spring..the bike runs like new.. I think my 230lb self along with being saturated around the wheels, fenders and chain with sticky clay mud, just got it to a point..
she got a much needed bath when I got home.. and I'll put around my property some this week to see if a cooler clutch is grabbing..otherwise, I may be heading over to our other forum threads to learn something new (grin).
anyway..Honda trail bike did itself proud this weekend boys.
