allans--------Almost all "low altitude" riding is in high range and almost all "high altitude" riding is low range. When I am transitioning from High to Low Alt I don't pay too much attention to the mpg's because
there is a fuel change and the addition of miles and miles of creeping along fire and logging roads up above 8500 ft.
