I pulled the seat off, unbolted the gas tank (Right front stud assembly took some thought...loosen the rear nut on the muffler...gently move muffler out of way...Unless I need to remove said muffler so as to not harm it or exhaust port on engine) I'll plug gas lines tomorrow, tank is dry.
While it's off I'll probably treat bottom seat plate, battary bracket, and luggage rack against rust and refinish as appropriate. I figure one to three weeks. Life's a balancing act.
