This morning dawned bright and clear, so I got up early and headed out for some
local exploration on the CT. Here in Jersey, there aren't very many places where you
can take a CT off road. But there are a couple of dirt "roads" near me that lead up
under the high voltage power lines. Technically, it's county park land and probably
not open to "dirt bikes". But at 6 am, I figured there was no one around, so I
decided to explore a few of them and see where they went.
This was really the first time I've had my CT "off road". On the dirt and gravel
sections of these roads, the bike handled great. Some sections were "paved" with
2 and 3 inch rocks though. On that stuff, the bike became a handful! I managed to
put on about 10 miles on the powerline roads and had a chance to try out
low range for the first time.
All in all, a nice ride. But after riding through all the muddy sections, now I
have to go clean the bike.
