The catbird seat is old-timey talk for being in a good place. Like the e-ticket in Disney Land.

So, the red 90 (Barney) was rejetted to 68 main, then to 72 when the plug dictated. I went with a plastic float set at 20mm. New points along the way, a new points base oil seal and gasket. It runs stronger fer sher, but it lost the one-kick start along the way. Keep tweaking I suppose.
And alas, the speedo repair did not work. I guess the replacement mech was no good. It was just a swap the mech job. It no worky so I guess no good.

The 110 has the one-kick start down pat but may not outrun Barney. Also it acts like the advancer is hanging up after a wot stint. When I downshift from this and give any throttle atall it will die. I have to put it in neutral and blip the throttle a bit and wait until its ready and it will go like stink again (ish). The advancer is perfectly clean and operable, I don't see how it could hang up. I can't make it stick on the bench.

The parts bike is lucky to be in out of this rain we're finally getting.

Many other bikes waiting in the wings.
