To win the race with the Bridgestone you may have to add a spoiler to your bike to hold it down at high speed. Maybe use another license plate? I have a vintage 1976 (Bicentennial) IL plate.

image May need to take you up on that Dave. My chances against that Bridgestone seem slim. Being a racy little two smoke weighing in at 10-20lbs less than a stock 90 with a .6HP more stock and a hair more torque too boot paired with much steeper gear ratios than CT's, our little tiddlers are slightly outgunned on paper.

That being said my bike has been lightened up a fair amount as I removed the center stand, chain guard, all lights and brackets for them, the rear rack, aux tank (never had one), passenger pegs, a good portion of the stock exhaust, and the factory air box. I've also installed the big bore kit, atc 110 performance cam, and 22mm carb. So we should be close in weight AND power with edge to who knows. But he has one advantage I can't match. A clutch. I can't exactly rev it up and dump the clutch like he can and take off with the engine at its sweet spot. Thankfully I'm probably a little lighter than the other guy so he might not be TOO much faster than me off the line.
