I'm going to see if I can find some 1-1/8" ID pipe (copper tubing or the like would work too) at the local hardware store and get a piece about 3-1/2" long. Slip that pipe over the threaded muffler end and then over the header pipe end. Take a pair of U-bolt style clamps and tighten down on each end.

I REALLY don't want to weld it on if I can help it. I just want this to be a stop-gap fix until I can figure out how to get pressure washer tip (which is sans its yellow plastic collar) out of the muffler. Long story, please don't ask. image
