I, with JPardues, help got my electrical issue ran down. image I ran a supplementary ground from where the battery connects to the chassis wire to the frame. Went through all the wires again, and double checked all the connections afterwards.

I also checked and adjusted the valves. Readjusted my fuel lines and trimmed off some extra length on one line.

Drained the fork tubes, well one of them. The other wouldn't drain at first so I looked in the drain hole with my flashlight and it was blocked off and packed full of mud. image One dental pick probing later and I had 40yr old fork oil and fine sediment streaming out of it. Flushed both tubes with ATF until it ran clear of any sediment. And then I filled both forks back up with ATF, 10ml at a time (hey it was the biggest shringe I could find image). Plan to run it and give the suspension a good work out then drain it and put in some 15wt fork oil.

I really wanted to try starting it but I was in the garage  with the door down and outside that door was 40-50mph winds and accompanying dust/sand/gravel. I figured hey, I can't take it out for the first time with the rebuilt, upgraded motor when its real windy, it'll give me a false impression of how it runs.image

Picture Time:

The license plate sheet metal is ridiculously reflective when the flash is on.

Now to figure out how to mount this:

To this: (and no the sock will not actually be used, its just there because I was tired of hearing the guard bracket rattle)

So I'll end up with:
