I worked on the '68 CL90 again , got it almost done too ~

I took apart the spark advancer & cleaned out the old rock hard grease , lubed it with Lubriplate # 107 , re assembled then re timed it *dead nuts* to the 'F' mark and it runs better now .

I installed the new HONDA ORIGINAL rubber throttle grip # 95011-13100 , it pushed right on and looks perfect , unlike the old tatty one with tape over the split .

I installed the correct new levers left & right (LH 53178-230-010 ,RH 53175-230-010) , polished up  a whole buncha alloy parts , installed two new Emgo mirrors , the new license tag , put the original tools into my new tool bag (99008-01600) , replaced the headlight and high beam bulbs , on and on and......

I even installed a new DeLuxe seat cover and passenger grab strap I got from Canada (! $ !)  , it was *much* easier than I expected , I got a very heavy clear trash bag and slit it , laid that over the foam so the new cover slipped easily into place .

The original foam was in VGC *but* the cover is made assuming you're going to want to add a 1/2" or 3/4" slab of new foam over it ~ I didn't and it looks nice and ride fine , next time I will go buy some black super dense foam so the finished seat stands taller .

Finally it was ready to ride so off I went , this Moto shifts like the 1.4XX miles on the odometer are really the true miles .

After it warms up the engine " hunts " occasionally @ idle so I re adjusted the carby , it's far better now .

I'm pretty sure I've found the correct Honda part # for the elusive CT90K1b & CT200 (4") SEAL BEAM typ of head light ! I've ordered one in and will see . if so , I'll post the P/N here so all & sundry can get in on this great bit of news .

This Moto has a brandy new carby , judging my the characters printed on it , it was made in Korea instead of the usual Chinese thing .

It labors a bit off idle but has lots of power going up a fairly steep grade (Lake Av. in Altadena) , past where the Trolly cars could climb back in the day so I'm well pleased with it but I think I'll be checking the main jet's actual size as it feels like it's a # 65 or smaller .

We'll see .

As always I cleaned and cleaned , still lots more to do but now I can legally and safely ride it to work .
