Installed heavy duty rear shocks, fork seals and boots, new2.75 Golden Boys front and rear (tubes too of course), NOS seat and oil change. Also, I fabricated rear panniers out of some Touratech bags I had lying around. Last addition prior to leaving will be a Postie front rack, water bottle holder and auxiliary fuel tank.

My top speed on flat with no headwind is 45-47mph and I'm 250lbs and 6'5". Never seem to need 4th gear, it just pulls my speed down.

I've been commuting 42 miles/day for the last few weeks and have had no trouble with the bike...wish I could say the same about my back. Hurts so damn bad I need meds. Not sure it's the bike that caused it though as I've always had a funky back. Had the same problem with my BMW GSA and Victory Cross Country. Hope I don't have to give up riding.
Sounds exactly right on speed, we are the same size and same top speed. My back used to bother me too. I finally figured that it was cause I was sitting too far back on the bike. When I ride with my milk crate on the rack, I have no issues, it keeps me sitting up straighter thumbs up
