I installed the N.O.S. GS Japanese battery I found for it and tuned it up , took the carby apart abnd cleaned it in a sonic cleaner ~ wow that things work swell .

I got Keyster rebuild kits fro Out West Motocycles , they have then IN STOCK (unlike Dr ATV0 and at very competitive prices too .

I've been chasing an odd problem : the engine cuts out as it gains speed or if I open the throttle too fast .

It feels to me like it's running lean and the spark plug came out nearly white .

I replace the flange O-Ring and the phenolic heat insulator , no change .

I can spray ether on all the carby to head joints while its running , no change .

My next thing will be to raise the jet needle by lowering the E - Clip  one groove , I don't think this is the right thing to do as it's been running fine until last summer .

I'm stymied as to what it wrong .

At least I was able to get it up to 45 MPH on the flat in a radar trap by feathering the throttle but not being able to run it ' On The Pin ' is wrong and I want to figure it out before I take it out of town .
