Thanx for the link .

I was able to score a N.O.S. GS Brand , made in Japan CT90 battery in New york (?) for $29 delivered so i'll soon fill it with fresh electrolyte then slow charge it a few days before installing it .

A buddy of mine in Highland Park has periodic " B.Y.O.C. " days in his garage where you bring your old carby and a kit and he lets you soak it in his ultrasonic cleaner ~ i'm keen to try this and now I have the kit . three kits in fact , i decided to buy one of each square bowl kit to see if I might like one part , gasket , O-Ring or jet over another....

Some have # 65 main jets , at least one has the # 72 main jet I prefer , I'll prolly also use the biggest slow (idle) jet they have as this foo-foo ' motor fuel  ' (it's NOT Gasoline) we're stuck with here in La La Land , runs very lean .

Mancat , please define ' overheating ' as the only time valves can possibly cause hot running is of they're too tight and i know you cold set them to .002" .

When new(ish) these tiny motos were well known to sizzle spit gobbed in the top of the crankcase when run hard in 75 degree weather so don't panic too much .
