Been working on this K1 all winter and I finally got it running. I was only able to ride it about 100 yards because of the ice, slush and mud in my driveway, but was able to confirm the motor is now strong, the clutch doesn't slip and the tranny seems to work. Its the first time this bike ran in 17 years. My last Honda Trail 90 ride was about 40 years ago so I am happy.
The original battery took a charge, but I don't think its much good because the motor wants to stall when the brake light is activated. For some reason applying the front brake also tends to kill the motor which I don't understand. Maybe a short in the headlight switch. I don't have the headlight working yet. Looking forward to riding it more this summer.
