Ordered new clutch discs from the DR, got them installed and put the clutch on today.  As soon as I had the clutch finished, and the cover back on, put oil in it and removed the spark plug and attempted to find TDC.  First time, the valves were tight, so gave it another turn. That time the valves were loose, so slipped the .002 feeler gauge in.  Top valve was loose, so turned it till the feeler gauge slid but somewhat tight, and moved to the bottom valve.  That one was tight, no room for the feeler gauge.  So loosened it, and decided to try starting the CT. Kick was positive, no slipping and 2 kicks and it fired up.  Choke closed, cold day today.  And it idled!  Could let go of the throttle!  Took a trip around the yard before deciding I better put on the rest of the parts.  After finishing up, the bike started harder.  Guess the muffler makes for harder starting.  Can't get the baffle out of the muffler, so thought maybe it is plugged with carbon, but ran ok.  All 4 gears work correctly, only problem is the gear shift catches on the peg, so added some flat washers under the front side to give some clearance.  All in all, a very good day.
