Probably doesn't apply to our little bikes but over on the KLR forums they advocate cleaning chain with a rag and WD-40.  In other words just wiping your O-ring chain with a WD-40 soaked rag.  Cleans off the dust/dirt and doesn't damage the o-rings. Some of the guys over there swear they get 20-30K on the stock chains... Considering the horsepower difference we might NEVER have to replace a chain on our CT's!!!  LOL
WD40 may well be a good idea but my intent is to do absolutely nothing to the chains and see how they hold up. After the recent rains where the bikes were setting out I did notice a couple tiny spots of rust on a few of the rollers but it disappeared after the first ride.

This morning I cleaned the foam air filter and applied some new oil. It gets dirty quickly on the CT140 from dust flying up from the front wheel.
