This week I rebuilt the front suspension with new seals, fluid, and dust boots after carefully cleaning out the grit and old oil. I used the Maxima "5 wt" fork oil after reading recommendations in other threads and sites. Unfortunately I also found that one side was missing the plastic spring seat that the spring rests on, so I took it out to make the sides even. This means the springs aren't quite as stiff as they are meant to be, since they are resting directly on the metal instead of the plastic spacer/seat. I'll have to source a replacement for the missing part - if anyone has any advice on where to look or has this part, please PM me!

I also got it inspected by the State Patrol, and still had time to run in to the Department of Licensing and get it registered! =D
Looking forward to some great riding out in the sun this weekend. I think I'm going to go ride around on Vashon Island, I've never been...
