For the Marvin's Mo-Ped Ride Sunday .

I pulled off the tarp and used my ACCUTIRE (TM) electronic tire pressure gauge to discover my tires were about 5 # low , then I topped up my battery with distilled water and checked the oil (full & still clean from the last service) , tried to find a R.H. 8MM threaded mirror in my piles o' junk , no joy , opened the spark plug gap up to .040" and dressed the tire's side walls , fired it up and roared off to air up the tires , sometimes it hesitates when I open the throttle at a red light so I guess .040" , even with the R.S. Rectifier upgrade , is a bit too much for this weak 6 volt ignition system .

It occurs to me I've not checked the battery's voltage at rest , if it's below 6 VDC , the battery is old and kaputi , low battery residual charge will also cause hesitation and stalling .

Hopefully SWMBO will let me go early to - morrow morning and tweak the spark plug back to .035" , if not I'll manage O.K.  .
