Thanks Nate, but believe me, I had some days in there when I just wanted to shoot the thing!
The damned original carburetor gave no end of grief. I finally swapped it for a PZ19, thanks
to info from this group. Now it seems to be running pretty darned good. Still a bit rich I think
and it loads up when compression braking which leads to a few spits or misfires when I
go to feed it the gas again. But for the moment I'm living with it. I'm afraid if I change
anything I'll make it worse.
