I replaced the springs with Gizmo's h/d ones and changed to tapered bearings this spring and yes it makes a WORLD of difference!  Word of advice though, don't use a heavy weight (10W or higher) fork oil.  Use ATF or less than 10 W and all should be well.  I put 15W in one of mine and it was so harsh all my teeth fell out!  Thinking of moving to Arkansas now...  J/k about the last part.  But it was a very rough ride.
