1970 CT90 K2, with the 'oddball carb' and air cleaner assembly from a 1969 CT90 K1

Since last Friday (got the bike running in the midst of all this):

- New handlebar swiches and wiring installed
- New brake cables installed
- New front stop light switch installed (the rear one was working and still looks serviceable but has stopped working in the meantime)
- New ignition coil and condenser installed
- New spark plug installed
- Oil flushed and replaced
- Tank rust removed, rinsed out, and tank reinstalled
- New fuel lines with an inline fuel filter on the reserve line installed (to catch future crud that settles to the bottom of the tank)
- 'RadioShack rectifier' upgrade performed
- New, fully-charged battery installed
- New battery outer bracket and cotter pin installed
- Throttle grip and throttle cable thoroughly lubricated with silicone control cable grease
- New rubber kick starter peg grip installed
- Managed to strip one of the machine screws in the right handlebar switch assembly. Probably going to have to tap it, yikes!
- Instrument bulbs replaced. I'm thinking of going to 6V colored LEDs for these, or at least for the high beam - the blue colored plastic inside has fallen off and vanished. I'm waiting for a replacement bulb holder for the speedo illumination bulb.
- Valve tappet clearances set to spec
- Ignition points gap set to spec
- Drive chain cleaned with WD40 and a medium wire brush, dressed with fancy-pants Royal Purple chain oil. Still need to adjust the chain tension (has a little more play than it should)
- Carburetor taken apart (twice!) and thoroughly cleaned (the second time), idle jet cleared using soft copper wire, 'button-style' fuel petcock seal replaced, fuel filtering screen cleaned
- New air filter element installed
