Originally both stock front (12) and rear (40) sprockets were completely worn and the chain ready to snap so I replaced them all but decided that the bike was street geared too tall for for the engine. So I replaced the rear 40 with a 45 tooth sprocket (lower) and after trying a 13 tooth on the front thought a 12 would be best. Today after testing the 12/45 combo out I feel it is perfect. Now the bike can rev higher going uphill without bogging and having to downshift to 3rd and yet cam still cruise at 45 MPH @ 6000 RPM and get to speed a lot faster with a bit more torque as well. being able to more easily access the higher rev range 6-7K means accessing about 2 more HP hidden in the engines higher rev range power-curve. The 12/45 combo on the CT200 works great and make the bike feel like its got a new engine but only cost me about $40
