Russ, great news on that.  Not good news on the clutch.  What the heck could it be????

I'm tearing apart again, it turns out that Vern (the lawn mower guy) has worked tons of these. He want's me to come get him when I tear it apart.
I'm also going to take the clutch apart and measure the clutch discs, I didn't actually measure the thickness of the fiber discs, only the metal ones............
Also the bolt that brake light lever on fell off! but I'm pretty sure I can scare up a bolt.............
I want to ride it to work Monday if it's not raining
Helicoiled the right side mirror hole and installed both new mirrors.
Tore the clutch down again...... This time I did find something interesting... I had replaced the metal clutch plates with new ones from the Dr.... I put calipers on them and they measure at 1.6mm. According to my manual that is too thin? they are brand new Honda parts........
I put it back together but there is no improvement. I tightened up the adjustment, it will disengage now when I hold the back of the shifter down, but not the forward side....... Very frustrating
I also moved my shifter a couple of teeth on the shaft, now I can Heel/Toe the gears
