I hear you Scott! I had a 1977 and the carb had been replaced... Bike ran great. My main K5 gave me fits for 2 years; I redid the Keihin 2 or 3 times never could get it right, so I finally through up my hands and bought a eBay carb (PZ19) for it. Less work than rebuilding the original carb and it has worked flawlessly for well over a year. And in addition; the whole carb cost only slightly less than a rebuild kit for the original...

Everyone on these forums seem to talk about having to go into the carbs multiple times like 3-5 to get them right. Seems ridiculous for a carburetor that is basically so simple. I would rather spend 30 bucks every five years or so to bolt on a new one!!! Just my opinion!
