The bulbs need to be changed and minor changes to the wiring. Easy stuff. You'll need to put in a 12V battery too unless you want to go without, which has advantages and disadvantages. There are wiring diagrams in the file section of the Honda Clone Yahoo Group and a lot of other helpful people that have done it that you'll have access to once your approved. All the Lifan horizontal engines will work on your bike, just choose the features you want. The manual clutch 125 is a good choice and will work fine. It's a square design (bore and stroke are the same) with a big valve head which gives it a good power curve.

Well the more I read about the Lifan motor swap the more i really want to do this. The only thing is I'm not the best when it comes to wiring. I know the lifan motor doesn't need a battery to run but how do you run the rest of the electrical stuff? if you change out the 6V for a 12V system do you only have to change the bulbs or do you have to change the wiring to the bulbs too? I need to get my bike back up and running as it's my favorite means of transportation. Will the Lifan 125cc 1 down 3 up motor work well on this bike? I would love to have a cable clutch on this bike.
