Thanks, guys! I've read the CT Gallery as well as most of the website and many posts here.

BTW, Allen, I first rode CT's in Santa Barbara County, 42 years ago. I had a Yammie 80, and when trying to climb the deeply eroded firebreaks of the day, soon learned the advantages of the CT's step-through design, automatic clutch and hand levers for both brakes.

Why do you think Honda increased the displacement in 1980? I noted that the peak power was at a lower rpm than a 90, EPA regs, maybe?
I ride all over the back country with my 11 other local MC buddies at least once a month, after a group breakfast, and usually on my 1983, XL185S, so I can sort of keep up with the bigger bikes... the 450's & 650's.

Yeah, the EPA was probably involved.
No confirmation of this, lots of rumors though.

Paved roads, just more needless government spending...

I pick up my mail in Santa Barbara, California, USA.
