Actually , Honda N.A. Dealer mechanic Training teaches us that the AutoClutch should always be adjusted with the engine idling in neutral ~ note that it cannot be done correctly if you have a fast idle PRM .

The primary mistake by Noobs & DIY'ers is : failure to use a narrow tipped screwdriver so when the 14 MM locknut is snugged up , the screw turns slightly clockwise , allowing the adjustment to be too loose , this hinders proper clutch release .

I've watched many do this at CT Tech Sessions whilst I'm standing there saying don't do that . properly adjusted , the AutoClutch is a wonderful thing and hard to wear out .
