yeah i just filled mine with premium, first time i ever filled her up, filled her as soon as had to switch to reserve tank so only got AUS$5.25 in. i can't tell the difference between the previous regular and the now premium fuel. using 95 or 92 octane next time.

in my 77' mini i use "flash lube", as they are no longer called lead replacement anymore, every 2nd fill up. its a form of valve saver. it is meant to prevent pitting on the valves and valve seats which will bugger its seal. a lot of mini owners don't use it for they have have either hardened valve seats inserted or they just believe that all is does is lower fuel octane. i believe the cylinder heads on CTs are made of aluminum (please correct me) and therefore would not require any additive to prevent damage.

what are the valves made of?
