My 1984 CT110's headlight only functions on high beam. I assumed it was the bulb, so I did order the expensive sealed beam unit, which I installed today. The problem is, the new light also does not work on low beam. The sealed beam unit has 3 wires, green, blue and white. With the bike running and the headlight removed, I put a continuity tester light to the green and white wires, and the test light lit up on with the switch on low beam only. With the tester on the green and blue wires, the test light lit up on high beam only. I also tested my sealed beam units, both the old one and the brand new one, on a battery charger set for 6 volts. With the charger hooked to the green and blue wires, I get a bright light from one filament. With the charger on the green and white wires, I get nothing at all. The result is the same for both the old and new sealed beam units. Any ideas?
