OK, the write up on this page clearly states that you shift gears on on CT90 the same way you do on a regular motorcycle, shifting up through the gears by
pressing the REAR pedal (which kicks the front pedal UP, same as a "normal" bike with neutral between 1st and 2nd):

As you can see, it says you shift from neutral to 1st by pressing the REAR pedal ("Push on the back part of the gear lever. This should put you in 1st gear.")
But the Honda owner's manual clearly says the opposite:

It says you shift from neutral to 1st by pressing the FRONT pedal ("Shifting from the neutral position to 1st gear is performed by depressing the forward end of the gear change pedal with the toe."). So which is it? I've been chasing a neutral light problem (engine still isn't running, waiting for carb part), but maybe it's because I don't know how to shift gears on this thing!
